All quilts are made of 100% cotton materials and will be machine washable. They are machine quilted, ensuring that they will hold together even after years of use.

I will cut out the designs from the shirts, add backing fabric to the resulting square, then sew the shirts together in a grid pattern, either an even grid, with all squares the same size, or an uneven grid if the designs are all different sizes. I will use any part of a shirt that you want, including the pocket design, any design on the sleeves, front or back.

Quilts will be either a lap quilt (approx. 40” X 50”) or twin size (approx. 65” X 85”), depending on how many shirts you want to include. I can also do a smaller wall hanging if you wish.

I will appliqué small logos or pocket pictures onto the finished grid. This adds interest and movement to the quilt. (See photos on home page for examples.)

Old, worn out t-shirts that have been washed many times work very well, don’t worry about sending these along. I can usually even repair torn shirts. All shirts should be washed before sending them to me.

Often I have more shirts than I can include in the quilt. Let me know which shirts are high or low priority. If you do not tell me, I will use my own judgement.
